I actually got my hands on The Conspiracy Palette and the Mini Controversy Palette by Jeffree Star Cosmetics, who collaborated with the legend, Shane Dawson, for this collection. First off, I would like to say I'm super happy for Shane. He truly deserves the best and the palettes and collection is so different yet WEARABLE! I was able to use the palette and make a Smokey eye and it wasn't too crazy but very sexy. It has a lot of fun shades in the palettes to do a crazy intense color look if you wanted, and I happen to love the fact that there is a variety. I see people buying the collection not just to support Shane but to actually enjoy and use the palette. It definitely is a collector's item if you LOVE makeup and LOVE Shane but it also is a really great overall palette(s), in my opinion.
To create this eye look, I started off with just defining my crease with the shade Diet Root Beer and just packing and blending out. I just kept adding until I got the intensity I wanted. Then, I added Tanacon to blend and diffuse it all out. I love the shade Tanacon, its the perfect transition shade. Please note, these shades do have quite a bit of fall out but with a light hand and taping off the excess before applying to the eyes, they are fine! Then, on the outer V of the eye, I added My Ride's Here to create that smokey effect on the eyes and blended out again with my transition color and brush I was using to diffuse because the black was intense! It is honestly an amazing black shadow like one of the best I've used. On the lids, with my finger I took Just A Theory and patted it on the lids because I found using my finger was the best for the shimmers in the palette. I went back in with some more of the black shade, My Ride's Here, to add some more depth.
I added some Ardell Demi Wispies Eyelashes because I didn't want a crazy lash. I really wanted people to see the eyeshadows and sometimes lashes can cover all the beautiful work you just did. I thought to compliment the look and the top I was wearing, I added a red lip to really bring the look together. I lined my lips with the Red Velvet Lip Liner by Kylie Cosmetics and then added Becca Cosmetics Lipstick from the Khloe Kardashian and Malika Haqq BFF Collaboration in the shade Brave, which is the red lipstick Malika created with Becca.
