For a while all I used was the Jaclyn Hill Morphe Palette in which I do still love, but in the past couple of months, I’ve discovered a new palette that has changed the makeup game for me. Morphe does have some of the best affordable eyeshadows on the market and I do love the way they blend, but I recently branched out and started to experiment with more brands, one of them being Dose of Colors.
The Friendcation palette from Dose of Colors has become one of my most used palettes for good reason. The mattes in this palette are unlike anything I’ve tried. They not only blend into perfection, but the shade Necessary, is the only transition shade I will ever use. It is perfect for my skin tone but creates a great base to build up other shadows on top of it. Ever since I’ve brought this palette I always will reach it specifically for this shade but that’s not the only reason why I love this palette. The ultra-dazzling shades are some of the most intense shades and I always have a special place in my heart for a beautiful blue/teal metallic, and the shade A Moment has become one of my favorites. I would not recommend using a brush with the metallics in the palette because they don’t give as much intensity. Your finger is your best bet for application of the shades but make sure to be aware of the shimmers falling out onto your cheeks/under eye when you dab it onto the lid from your fingers. You can use Mac Fix+ to intensify the shades even more which creates this long-lasting effect and these shades will last you all day long!
This palette has changed the makeup game for me and I haven’t really tried any other palette that performs the way the Friendcation palette does. All shades in the palette are a dream and that doesn’t always happen. You can get some many looks out of just these ten shades and while it is $55, it is 100% worth the price.
