For years I have always straightened my hair and had it long and straight, never realizing how harmful that could be for my hair. I've always hated my frizzy curly hair for as long as I can remember because I felt it wasn't flattering but I've learned that if I style my natural curls they are beautiful. I need to embrace my hair and also give my hair a break sometimes from all the heat I use on it. In this post, I'll explain how I get the wet curls look that I do when I have my natural and some curly hair products that WORK!
I start with just washing and conditioning my hair in the shower using the OUAI Medium Hair Shampoo and Conditioner because I don't have fine or thick hair. Then, when I get out of the shower I ring my hair with my towel and shake the towel in my roots to make sure I get out all the dripping water. I then use the OUAI Wave Spray and spray that in my roots first and shake it in so it gives my hair some volume and then spray some in the ends of my hair. I love this spray, it really creates such beautiful waves and tames frizz; smells FANTASTIC too! Then, I flip my head over and take the Tresemme Mega Scuplting Hold Gel (Level 5) and begin to scrunch the hair up using a generous amount of gel in my hands. Taking a little more than a quarter size amount of the gel, use it to scrunch the hair on the back of my neck because that frizzes up super easily for me. I take another quarter amount of gel to shake into the scalp a little and the flyaways that I get. Lastly, I just take whatever is left in my hands and shake and scrunch all my hair together and flip back up.
This normally last for the whole day and then the next day your hair will begin to look dry but it will look wet for most of the day and dries slowly reducing the frizz. I love the wet look with my curls and I hope this helps you embrace your curls too! I use this specific gel on the days with more humidity and the hair needs a stronger hold. If I don't, than I use the Mousse I mention below!

- This product smells amazing and feels just a tad more lightweight than an actual gel. I really like the consistence of the product and it left my hair still looking wet and tamed all the frizz. I really love the wet, no frizz curl look.
DevaCurl Frizz-Free Volumizing Foam
-This foam is very very light and won't make your hair look "wet" but helps give the curls a light define and tame some frizz but not all. I like this product for when I want something very very light and kind of just want the curls to fully look dry rather than a wet look.
